Embark on a sensory journey to the heart of Normandy through Fabrice Moireau’s luminous watercolors and Olivier Frébourg’s inspired texts. This book is a true ode to a region shaped by history, nature, and legends.
A region with an exceptional heritage
A land of conquests and passages, Normandy bears the traces of a turbulent history, from the Romans to the Vikings, from medieval conflicts to the upheavals of the 20th century. Despite these trials, it has managed to preserve a strong identity and a remarkable architectural and natural heritage, which today make it internationally renowned.
Landscapes captured in watercolors
The majestic cliffs of the Alabaster Coast, deep forests, green hedgerows, and the legendary bay of Mont-Saint-Michel: Fabrice Moireau captures the diversity of Normandy’s landscapes with finesse and sensitivity. Through 150 drawings and watercolors covering the region’s five departments, this book reveals the richness of its contrasts, magnified by the words of Olivier Frébourg.
Normandie Sketchbook is an invitation to contemplate and discover a timeless land.
