A text by Orhan Pamuk, a prominent figure in Turkish culture

The book “Istanbul” is enriched with an unpublished text by Orhan Pamuk, one of the prominent figures in Turkish culture. Like Ara Güler, he is a native of Istanbul and once aspired to become a painter. This collaboration between two prominent figures provides a unique testament to Istanbul. It combines the arts of photography and writing to capture the melancholic soul of the city that both artists call home.
