The seven hills of Lisbon in paintings

Do you know what sets Lisbon apart? Known as the city of seven hills, the capital of Portugal is surrounded by seven magnificent viewpoints: São Jorge, São Vicente, São Roque, Graça, Santa Catarina, Chagas, and Sant’Ana. In this watercolor work, Fabrice Moireau portrays these eminences crowned with castles or churches, its plains and hills, its network of steep alleys, and its colorful little houses. Under the delicate stroke of his brush, Lisbon comes to life before our amazed eyes.

The soul of the Portuguese capital captured in watercolors

The watercolor artist has managed to capture the timeless magic of the city, its unique atmosphere, and its essence. Every street corner, every architectural detail, and every scene of daily life are immortalized in this beautiful work. Lisbon is a place of historical wonders, eccentric shops, and trendy clubs. Thanks to the words and expertise of Gonçalo M. Tavares, a writer and epistemology professor in Lisbon, the past harmoniously blends with the present.
