Painter, illustrator, and former artistic director of Vogue France, Daniel Dufour (1940–2017) was co-founder of La Cabane Perchée and author of travel journals and books.
A travel writer, Sylvain Tesson is the author of adventure and nature stories, including Dans les forêts de Sibérie (In the Forests of Siberia, winner of the Prix Médicis essay prize) and Une vie à coucher dehors (A Life Spent Outdoors, winner of the Goncourt prize for short stories).
