Steve McCurry.

Born in 1950 in the United States, he has been an iconic figure in contemporary photography for more than five decades.

McCurry has created unforgettable images across all seven continents and numerous countries.

His body of work spans conflicts, vanishing cultures, ancient traditions, and contemporary life alike, yet it always retains the human element that made his celebrated image of the Afghan Girl so powerful.

In 2019, he was inducted into the International Photography Hall of Fame.

He is the author of Bhutan: Portrait of a Kingdom, published by Éditions du Pacifique.
