Carl Norac.

Carl Norac, born in Mons in 1960, is a Belgian poet whose childhood was marked by an artistic environment: his father, Pierre Coran, was a writer, and his mother, Irène Coran, was an actress. After working as a French teacher, traveling librarian, journalist, and then professor of literary history at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, he chose to devote himself fully to writing, which he has been doing for over twenty years.

Carl Norac is the author of poetry, plays, and numerous books translated into eighteen languages, with more than forty titles published. His work has been recognized with several major awards, including the Grand Prix de la Société des gens de lettres in Paris (2009) and the Charles-Plisnier Prize in Belgium. In 2020–2021, he became Belgium’s National Poet (Dichter des Vaderlands).

Carl Norac is the author of The Coffret Paris Sketchbook and Rooftops of Paris Sketchbook, published by Éditions du Pacifique.

Fabrice Moireau.

Fabrice Moireau, born in 1962, is a graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Arts appliqués et des métiers d’Art (National School of Applied Arts and Crafts). Inspired by his many travels, he creates sketchbooks that are both cultural and ethnographic testimonials. Passionate about architecture, gardens, and nature, he uses watercolors to capture the subtlety of light and the atmosphere of streets and landscapes.

His career took shape during his studies, where he excelled in observational drawing and trained as a stand designer/set designer, before creating his first travel journals for the Chaumont-sur-Loire Garden Festival. His approach quickly attracted attention, and his sketchbooks led to commissions for Vuitton and then Éditions du Pacifique, with whom he produced more than 35 art books devoted to cities and regions around the world, from Paris to New York, Lisbon to Provence.

Contemplative, Fabrice Moireau paints in situ, sometimes sitting for hours on a simple fishing stool, capturing the light, framing and details with precision. His works have been the subject of numerous exhibitions, about one per year, and reflect a sensitive and poetic view of the world.

Fabrice Moireau is the author of the following books published by Éditions du Pacifique: Berlin Sketchbook, Bretagne Sketchbook, Paris Sketchbook, Corse Sketchbook, Florence Sketchbook, Gardens de Paris Aquarelles, Lisbonne Sketchbook, and Normandie Sketchbook.

Jean-Pierre Le Dantec.

Jean-Pierre Le Dantec is an engineer who graduated from École Centrale and an art historian. He taught for many years at the École Nationale d’Architecture de Paris-La Villette, which he directed from 2001 to 2006, and led the research team “Architecture, Environments, Landscapes.” As a writer, he has published numerous works on garden art and landscaping, including Le Sauvage et le Régulier. Art des jardins et paysagisme en France au XXe siècle (2002), Splendeur des jardins de Paris (1991), and Le Roman des jardins de France (1987, 2001). He is also the author of essays and novels and has participated in the design of several gardens and urban planning projects, notably in Boulogne-Billancourt, Meudon, and Angers, and at the International Garden Festival in Chaumont-sur-Loire.

His career combines scientific rigor, a passion for landscape, and an interest in architectural and urban design. He has also produced several radio and television programs on the art of gardens and landscape design.

He is the author of the following books published by Éditions du Pacifique: Gardens of Paris Sketchbook, Coffret Paris Aquarelles (Paris Sketchbook Box Set).

Yves Simon.

Born on May 3, 1944, in Choiseul (Haute-Marne), Yves Simon is a French singer-songwriter and writer. From childhood, he was introduced to music with an accordion given to him by his parents. After studying literature in Nancy and Paris, he traveled throughout Europe and the United States. He published his first novel at the age of 24 and achieved success with Les Jours en couleur and L’homme arc-en-ciel.

At the same time, he developed a musical career, with albums such as Au Pays des merveilles de Juliet and Rumeurs, and collaborated with artists such as Françoise Hardy. He has received several literary awards: the Prix des Libraires (1988), the Prix Médicis (1991) for La Dérive des sentiments, as well as the Prix des Poètes Sacem (1995) and the Grand Prix de l’Académie française (1997).

A world traveler, he draws his inspiration from Paris and its surroundings, the central location of his creative work. His books reflect his poetic view of the city, everyday life, and human emotions.

He is the author of Paris Sketchbook, published by Éditions du Pacifique.
