Yves Simon is a writer, composer, and performer. He wrote his first novel at the age of twenty-four, which was promptly published by Grasset. In 1987, he received the Booksellers’ Prize with « Le Voyageur Magnifique, » and in 1991, the Médicis Prize with « La Dérive des Sentiments. » His work as an author-composer was also recognized with the Sacem Poetry Prize in 1995 and the Grand Prize of the French Academy in 1997. A world traveler, Yves Simon has embarked on several world tours, but it is in France, and particularly in Paris, that he finds the themes of his inspiration.
