Henri Fauconnier was born in Barbezieux (in Charente) on February 26, 1879, and died in Paris on April 14, 1973. He is primarily known for his novel ‘Malaisie,’ which earned him the Goncourt Prize in 1930. He is also the author of ‘Visions,’ a collection of short stories, as well as some paintings and pieces of music. He was a member of the Barbezieux group.
